Branches of Government...

In 11th-12th Government this last week, we studied an overview of the three branches of American Government. As a way to remember these individual offices, we literally created "Branches of Government". Each branch is represented on the tree trunk and the characteristics of each branch are described on the bushiness of the tree. Great job on each picture! Now we'll begin an in-depth study of each branch in the next couple of weeks.

US History Museum Project...

This is a reminder to the 9th and 10th US History Class that you need to be working on writing a story for your museum display. This means each group will need to be reading information about their chosen topic and then writing a story that involves these facts. There is no specific length that it must be, but the qualifications I do have is that it is creative, typed in Times New Roman font size 12, and put in a report folder. Remember to think outside the box! This story is due Friday, October 5th. I'm hoping to be able to give you time in class this next week to work together on this assignment. I'm looking forward to reading them!

We finished up chapter 14 in our US History today and also finished reviewing for our test that will be on Wednesday, September 26th. For Tuesday's Quiz watch the video above to earn an +5 Bonus Points....and be ready for the review game! Winners get to pick from the candy jar!

Since we spent much of our class time today in US History on remembering 9/11 and also the start of the Civil War at Fort Sumter, I never made it to the video of Abraham Lincoln. For those of you in the 9th & 10th Physical Science and 11th Chemistry class who will be gone to play in the Volleyball Tournament on Thursday & Friday, September 13th - 14th, please watch the video above BEFORE attempting to do the worksheets assigned for Friday's homework. I will be showing this video in class before we start the worksheets. If you follow the rules for solving using significant digits you should have no problem working the problems on the worksheet. If you saw the newletter handed out Tuesday and Wednesday, then you will notice we're having a drawing from September 4th thru Thursday, September 13th.
