The Thirteen Colonies Videos...

In chapter 2 of our US History book we have been studying about the thirteen colonies. We had the chance to watch a video about the Southern colonies but did not have enough time to watch these other two videos. So I am offering them as extra credit for your test on Friday, September 8th. Simply watch the videos below then leave me a comment at the end of the post with your name that you watched them and I will add five extra points on your test.

First, let's start with the four New England Colonies...
...and then let's finish with the Middle Colonies...
Don't forget to leave me your name in the comments below!

Favorite Foods Celebration...

I don't know about you but I am super excited about celebrating our favorite foods tomorrow, September 8th, during lunch time. I've already made my Rotel Cheese Dip and am interested in seeing what some of your favorites are. Don't forget to bring something to share with others...and remember, NO NUTS! Thank you!

Favorite Food Day...

This month we are celebrating our favorite foods! That means on Friday, September 8th, please bring your favorite food to share with everyone. At lunch time we will put everything together buffet style and take a bite of other student's favorite foods. Because of a nut allergy please bring something that does not contain any form of nut. We look forward to seeing everyone's favorite food!

New US History Project...

Our new project for US History involves creating a postage stamp for one of the thirteen colonies chosen last Friday. I did not put on the requirements paper what date information to work on the project was due in class but I would be remiss in a few reminders regarding this project. You are not allowed to work on any other class, even one of the other classes I teach you. You must work on work ONLY for US History. Please bring information to class tomorrow, Wednesday, September 6th, so that once I am done with the lesson you may work on your project. These little projects I assigned are actually to be completed in class and not where you need to take them home. So again, no working on any other class (even Biology) in my class, only US History. Bring materials in to work on your new project.

VIDEO: Significant Digits...

In Physics we have been learning about figuring out significant digits and how to use them in mathematical operations. This is a key concept in physic's calculations that you must be familiar with. In fact they will become second nature to you as we begin using formulas in the next chapter. As a review be sure to watch Mr. Anderson's video above as a review to these key concepts.
